"Our emergency response cars, medical center and pit lane doctors are equipped with Water-Jel Burn Dressings and Fire Blankets. These have proved invaluable in treating the burn incidents we have experienced with the drivers, pit crews and spectators at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit over the years."

"When we are working at an International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) or USAR Hooters ProCup event, we have a team of professionals, including physicians, firefighters and emergency medical technicians, on site at all times. On one particular occasion, we had a driver splashed with fuel, and the fuel found an ignition source, which resulted in burns on approximately 30% of his body. We used the Water-Jel product on him, which significantly reduced his pain and suffering. He was then transported to a regional burn center, where he was treated for his injuries...
"Our team also uses Water-Jel for minor incidents that occur in and around the racetracks. This product works. Water-Jel lifts out the heat and heals the skin. I personally suffered a minor burn and applied the gel. The next day, the blister, heat and redness had disappeared."

"A camp staff person was lighting a fire, and the fire ended up burning his face. The healthcare professionals on site applied Water-Jel immediately to his face, and the area where he had been covered with the gel ended up not having any scars. We thank you very much for this product, because without it, we could have had a major accident on our hands. It’s great to have a product like this on hand, especially at a camp where we have 500 children."

"I feel obligated to let someone know who works at WATER-JEL that your product has reduced the pain and suffering of a young man this past spring at a Civil War reenactment. I was attending the Civil War reenactment in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia this past spring when an unfortunate accident occurred at night. According to witnesses, a young man had tripped over a piece of firewood and fell, hands out, arms extended, into a campfire pit...
"I was camping several hundred yards away with my unit when a mutual friend came running from the camp where the accident occurred. Since this was a large event in rural Virginia with more than a thousand reenactors, there were BLS ambulances at the event. While someone was already running to the entrance to the park where they were staged, I, being an EMT for 11 years and still an active volunteer firefighter, ran through the camps to my vehicle about a 1⁄2-mile away to grab my EMS jump bag. I drove my truck directly to the camp with the burned individual. Someone had already dialed 911 due to the obvious severity of the burns. The ambulance arrived the same time I did, and it started to drizzle.
"The boy had blistered hands and 1st and 2nd degree burns to his arms and upper neck. The nearest hospital was about an hour’s drive, and no helicopters were flying to them, being grounded due to the weather. Bystanders had poured canteens of water over the burns to help the boy, and the ambulance crew was getting ready to wrap sterile burn sheets to prevent infection. That’s when it occurred to me that I had taken several samples of your Water-Jel product home from a new company I started to work for. I convinced the ambulance crew to use the 2 x 6 and 4 x 4 Water-Jel wet dressing samples on his hands and arms. The loud crying of the boy had everyone’s stomach turning because of the amount of pain the boy was in. Within 5-10 minutes, the boy became calm enough to be able to provide clear speech to the EMTs about his personal information.
"Your gel-soaked sterile burn dressings, in my opinion, provided substantial pain relief without narcotic pain medication, drew the heat out of the burns and did not stick like gauze might have. They located the boy’s father, and the ambulance crew met up with the ALS (paramedics) halfway to the hospital. Civil War reenacting has always put safety first to make it enjoyable to participate and for the public to attend, but it does have inherent risks of cooking over an open fire, thousands of soldiers firing black powder rifles and cannons. There have been several discussions about having a large Water-Jel burn kit at every future event, and I keep a sample with me all the time. As for the ambulance service that transported the boy, they now feel Water-Jel burn dressings are a must-have item for any first aid kit."

I am a Registered Nurse, and in the early 1990's, I was the Industrial Nurse at a food processing plant. I purchased and used Water-jel dressings for some of the burn injuries that I treated in the Plant's Medical/Emergency Department. I was amazed at how well they worked by decreasing the severity of the burn, and also by decreasing the pain felt from the burn. I was so impressed that I purchased some of the small dressings to have on hand at home, and put them away in a first-aid drawer in my kitchen. Over the years, I forgot they were there, because thankfully, I never had an occasion to use them, until this past week-end.
My oldest daughter came to visit, and was taking a hot dish out of the oven. The dish slipped and the piping hot food splashed across her hand, causing a very painful burn. Thankfully, I remembered the Water-Jel dressings I had in the drawer, and I'm so glad I did! I quickly tore a package open, applied it to her hand, and left the dressing on for close to an hour. Not only did it give her instant cooling relief, but the burn didn't even blister!! I was utterly amazed! As hot as the dish was, I would have expected a second degree burn!! After 20+ yrs, and an expired shelf life, the Water-Jel dressing still worked its magic.
Thank you for a truly amazing product!!!
